Cocoa Prices Hit A 6 Month High

Bookmark and Share

Cocoa Futures---Cocoa futures in the December contract are sharply higher this Thursday afternoon in New York up 80 points currently at 2147 hitting a 6 month high as volatility has finally entered this market as prices have been grinding slowly higher over the last couple of months.

I've been recommending a bullish position from 2010 & now recommending to add another bullish position from around 2140 as this market has broken out to the upside.

If you have read any of my previous blogs you understand that I was bullish cocoa due to the fact of the technical nature of the market coupled with the fact they we are going into the strong demand season for chocolate & if you took the trade continue to place the stop loss under the 10 day low which stands at 2016 and in Monday's trade will be raised to 2028 as the chart structure is not that great at the present time due to the sharp rally today.

Cocoa is still trading above its 20 and 100 day moving average telling you the trend is to the upside and if the 2200 level is broken I think prices could head up to the 2400 level in the next couple of weeks so stay long as this trend is getting stronger on a weekly basis.TREND: HIGHER---CHART STRUCTURE: SOLID
