Drew was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. In the summer of 2000, after graduating from the prestigious University of Waterloo as the Valedictorian for the Science Faculty, Drew moved to Los Angeles to start his career. In September 2001, he started working as a Series 3 broker for a large California FCM and at age 25, he was quickly promoted to be the branch manager of a 100-broker office in the heart of LA. In summer of 2003, Drew resigned from his lucrative post to focus on trading and to prepare for the ultimate challenge: fatherhood. He spent two years refining his trading systems before deciding to accept an offer from one of the largest Introducing Brokers in the US to come to work as an AP. After a short but successful tenure, in February 2006, Drew founded Greenrush Capital Management, LLC. Greenrush Capital is a guaranteed Introducing Broker, Commodity Trading Advisor, and author of the Greenrush Capital Report. Drew is a Canadian Securities Course graduate and a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity.
