Bracket line and the high of October are resistances, gap from Thursday is support.
I have said for months since adding this contract "This is one market that holds its steep trend lines longer and more often than any other market I chart right now".
February Nat Gas for 1/7/10:
In my daily numbers on Wednesday; my resistance was .037 from the actual high, my support was .034 from the actual low.
Natural Gas: Spot on numbers, off 37 & 34. By now you know what I am about to say, I never buy where I am suppose to be a seller, so that means if long I would sell here to take profits, and if waiting for a place to sell, we are near the resistance bracket line (red) and a place to sell no matter the reason it got there. More times than not it will be rejected, especially when a huge move was made to get there in a short period of time, and thus being at extremely overbought conditions, yes, I think that any casino would take your bet of it having enough energy to punch through at this time. Let me put it to you like this, a mile is a mile, but when you are running a marathon, any runner will tell you the energy used in the 10th mile is a lot less than the 20th mile. Also the way I have always looked at this is, how much time recently or in the past has it facilitated trade at this price? I also know that it could go to all time highs, so my bet always has a stop loss because every "bet" should have a risk reward. I never want to stick around to see how wrong I can be.
